At Argonaut Hockey Group, we possess a deep understanding of the North American junior hockey landscape and are well-equipped to aid players in seamlessly transitioning to a team that aligns with their individual needs, development, and long-term aspirations.
Starting from the recruitment process, through admissions, and all the way to graduation, we are fully prepared to be by our clients' side throughout every stage. Juggling the demands of university-level academics and athletics can be challenging, but rest assured, we are here to provide unwavering support and assistance every step of the way.
THE ARGONAUT PROCESS
CONSULTATION
The initial step towards joining Argonaut Hockey Group involves a consultation where we can meet either in person, over the phone, or via Zoom. During this consultation, we will delve into your career planning objectives, encompassing both short-term and long-term goals. Recognizing that each player embarks on a unique path in their hockey journey, we emphasize the importance of creating a tailored and individualized plan that caters to the specific needs of each student-athlete. As a distinguished agency and advisory service, AHG maintains selectivity and carefully considers prospective clients who align with our criteria. This entails shared goals, expectations, and the embodiment of outstanding citizenship off the ice, among other important factors and variables.
Eligibility
We undertake the task of determining and facilitating eligibility for our athletes who are pursuing post-secondary education at universities or colleges. This involves reviewing high school transcripts to ensure completion of core courses and offering assistance in scheduling and preparing for the SAT/ACT exams, if necessary. Moreover, we provide comprehensive support to players and their families in comprehending and adhering to all relevant NCAA rules and guidelines, ensuring the maintenance of amateur status, if applicable.
Promotion
We take charge of creating, publishing, and distributing a polished highlight film and interactive hockey resume that showcases our clients in a professional manner. Our primary objective is to position players in situations that offer optimal development opportunities and increased exposure for amateur opportunities. We ensure that prospective coaches and scouts are well-informed about our clients' game schedule and provide them with the necessary means to watch them play. Additionally, we maintain consistent communication with these coaches to stay updated on the needs of their organizations. Above all, we tirelessly advocate for our clients, ensuring their best interests are prioritized throughout their hockey journey.
Recruitment
We take charge of spearheading the recruitment process by proactively reaching out to amateur coaches and supplying them with comprehensive materials such as videos, player information, statistics, and scouting reports. We foster consistent communication with these coaches, cultivating a professional working relationship that benefits both parties involved. Furthermore, we identify suitable educational institutions or teams that align with the unique requirements of the player and their family. We present a range of options to players and their families, providing guidance to facilitate the decision-making process in selecting the most fitting school and/or hockey program overall.
Communication
We maintain continuous contact and active engagement in our players' lives. Regular check-ins are conducted to ensure their mental health, overall well-being, and adjustment away from home, both on and off the ice, in the classroom, and with their billets, among other aspects. We offer and suggest external services as necessary to support our athletes. An open line of communication is always available between our advisors and clients, ensuring accessibility whenever they may require assistance or guidance.
Management
We oversee the day-to-day affairs of our players, providing a reliable and trusted advisor who comprehends the intricate details of a hockey player's life at any given moment. Our advisors at AHG serve as a valuable resource, offering advice, lending an ear for discussions or brainstorming, and providing an outlet for players to converse with someone other than a parent or coach. Additionally, we undertake routine management tasks such as monitoring social media, maintaining and updating online presence, facilitating brand deals and partnerships, and sharing social media recognition for our clients.
